Not many people know this, but ever since Amy and I first began turning the Felltarn Friends dream into reality we had a wonderful vision of the cute creatures being made into handmade soft toys for all to enjoy. Finally, this dream is becoming a reality, and very soon we will have a gorgeous collection of Limited Edition, Handmade, Felltarn Friends Dolls! We can barely contain our excitement and just have to share the story with you. → Read more
Those of you who’ve already seen the Activity Packs that we launched last year will know that inside the fun-filled goody bags is (among a host of other cute offerings) a woodland finger puppet to colour in and play with. But now we have taken this idea a step further and created a set of Felltarn Friends Finger Puppets – they’re simply delightful!
Today, I made the short trip into Kendal to pick up our first delivery of Felltarn Friends Finger Puppets from our wonderful local printer – thanks Alastair! The process of creating this latest product for our range started only a few weeks ago, sitting by the fire in the evening sketching the Felltarn Friends.
We made gorgeous heart bunting with salt dough and then painted each heart and decorated it.
We tied some ribbon and strung them together with twine.
One of my favourite crafts, follow our Salt Dough Recipe Below:
Nothings says Valentines like a red rose and these little tissue paper roses are easy to make and look so sweet.
We always enjoy trying new crafts, Rebecca showed me how to make this little gem! So sweet and easy but really effective.
Great for the kiddies to make for their friends.
The ‘Felltarn Ladies’ celebrated a year of hard work in style at the Low Wood Bay on Friday night.
We had a fantastic night of food, wine, laughter and dancing. Thank you to our wonderful staff who have worked with such dedication and care to build the Felltarn Friends brand and develop the business this far in just one year!
Left to Right: Victoria, Claire, Amy, Rebecca and Katie.
As our first year of trading draws to a close we reflect on the roller coaster ride it has been…
We have learnt so much, met so many fabulous people and haveloved every minute of it.
Thank you to everyone who has supported the brand and to the fantastic team who
works along side us – Rebecca, Katie and Victoria!

We asked a make up artist from Kendal, who’s business is all about weddings, to have a look at our new favour/activity bags and give us her honest option – she absolutely LOVED them!
Have a read of her blog for an in depth review of these Lake District wedding favour activity bags. → Read more
Our first ever Christmas Fair was as Greenlands Farm near Carnforth (an amazing family day out any time of year!) The whole place was jam packed full of people enjoying the festive spirit, and it was fab to get some great feedback on our new products, the Gift Pack and Activity Pack. Thank you Greenlands Farm, we’ll be back next year for sure!
Look what dropped onto our doormat at Felltarn HQ? It’s Tom’s fantastic drawing of Willie Pig and Eleanor’s drawing of Bridget Bat. Thank you soooo much for your brilliant works of art!
